Tuesady June 13 - A Slice Of Heaven

We left Binghamton at 8:30 in bright sunshine and already warm temperatures.  The drive was pretty easy until we got into some of the more populated areas of Connecticut but we kept on moving forward.

We pulled into Mystic Connecticut at 1:30 and went straight to Mystic Pizza.  Believe it or not we found a parking spot right out front and Cheri pulled in like a pro!

After having a pizza lunch we took a slow drive along the coast to Westerly, Rhode Island and found our hotel, The Pleasant View Inn.   Our room, #344, is as close to the ocean as you can get without being in the water.  As a matter of fact the surf is so loud we had to close the window so we could sleep...and it was still loud!!!

We took a drive to Narraganset and I found that lobster roll I wanted at Champlin's Seafood Market.  It was worth the drive!! After eating we drove north on Route 1A and enjoyed the scenery and the spectacular houses....holy cow.

When we got back to the hotel we walked to a seaside bar, The Andrea,  right next to the hotel and relaxed as the sun went down and lightning flashed over the ocean.

Made it to Mystic!

We must be in the front row.

Our  upstairs table was right next to the sign.

The Pleasant View Inn...they're not fibbing!

On the beach looking toward Watch Hill Point.

Right in the center of the Narraganset fishing district.

Two lobster rolls coming up....
One lobster roll going down

The other lobster roll going down!

Point Judith Lighthouse.

As close as we could get
